Food Stamp Application

We have been helping food pantry clients apply for food stamps at our church through a grant from Project Bread. We have helped several families already (1-3 a week), but we would like to reach more families (they do not have to be food pantry clients). If you think you might be eligible for food stamps, or even if you know someone else who might be interested, talk to Wendy Baur or call Lisa Sturgis at the church office. We can do a quick calculation to see if you might be eligible and then we can set up an appointment at the church to do the application. We will keep all information confidential. The food stamp program is under utilized in Massachusetts, and Project Bread is trying to make it easy to apply in order to reach all those who qualify but may not be aware of it. You can also check out their website – www.gettingfoodstamps.org  - for more information. There is a calculator on this website where you can determine if you might be eligible for food stamps.
