ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
There are three Adult Sunday School available on Sundays: a general adult study for anyone out of high school, organized by Mike Dempsey; a Biblical Greek class led by Norm Strautin; and a Young Adult class for high school grads through 30ish led by Lisa Sturgis.
ANGELS FOR THE ELDERLY
Angels for the Elderly seek to celebrate the lives of our senior citizens in Revere and the surrounding communities. One celebration event we host is a Thanksgiving dinner for any person who is at least 65 years old. This meal is free and open to all seniors.
Our goal is to provide the senior citizens in our community with a holiday meal at Thanksgiving and Easter. We also desire to help meet some of their basic needs and provide them with gift cards to local food stores.
Through this ministry, it is our hope that our valued elderly people will feel needed, cared for, and loved. We hope they will find new friends and learn of God's love for them.
AUDIO VIDEO MINISTRY
Closed Circuit Television on the first floor of the church is available for the second Worship Service or individuals who have a difficult time going up and down stairs. Our Audio Video ministry also provides copies of the weekly sermon on CD and well as copies of special events such as the annual church retreat.
HP PARKING
Extra handicapped parking is available in the parking lot surrounding the church office on the corner of Beach Street, School Street, and Central Ave. If you should find yourself in need of parking in the lot due to injury or illness, please contact the church office for a temporary Church Parking Permit
Non-handicapped parking is available on Central Ave., the Municipal Parking Lot about 2 blocks down Central Ave., and at the Revere Counseling Center located on Beach Street across from the Beachwood Funeral Home.
BIBLE STUDIES DURING THE WEEK
During the week we have 3 evening Bible studies that meet at the church in Fellowship hall.
Monday: Women’s Bible study at 7:00 p.m. led by Wendy Baur and Lorraine Carroll
Friday Evening
CHOIR
Music and Choir: Our choir is open to anyone with a desire to serve God with a gift of music. Our rehearsals are on Thursday nights at 7:30. We welcome new members. We generally sing each Sunday at the 11:00 service and also take part in special events and Cantatas throughout the year. We also welcome instrumentalists who wish to play during the worship service.
FOOD PANTRY
We are approaching our busy holiday season and we are very low on our stock of non-perishable food. Read more - click here! Do you need FOOD STAMPS? We are now processing applications. GUARDIAN ANGEL PROGRAM
Our Guardian Angel program provides gifts to the children (newborn - 17 years old) of families in need from Revere and the surrounding communities. As families sign up to receive a gift for their child, a paper angel is made with the child's first name and age on it. Those who wish to provide a gift then pick one (or more if desired) of the paper angels. They then purchase a gift and most importantly, they pray for that child. This past Christmas gifts were provided to nearly 700 children. Donations are always needed during the Christmas season.
PRO-LIFE PRAYER AND STRATEGY GROUP
Our Pro-life Prayer and Strategy Group works to help young, pregnant woman with alternatives to abortion. We support A Women's Concern Pregnancy Center at103 Broadway, Revere. God continues to bless this ministry with women who keep their babies rather than abort them. Each January we make the trip to Washington DC for the March for Life.
PRAYER MINISTRIES
Prayer Ministry We firmly believe in the power of prayer. Prayer is offered during the Sunday service. We also have individuals who are committed to a prayer time after the Sunday worship service and also during the week. NURSING HOME MINISTRY
Our Nursing Home Ministry leads a monthly worship service at the Lighthouse Nursing Home and Ann Mark Nursing Home in Revere.
MEALS UNLIMITED MINISTRY
Our Meals Unlimited Ministry remembers families in crisis with a home-made meal.
